Responsibilities

The Vaccine Specialist will meet and/or exceed performance objectives in an assigned territory by developing, implementing, and executing an integrated territory business plan encompassing key customer targets. The candidate will deliver specific presentations of client’s product to appropriate health care professionals in both the Clinic/Office and Hospital setting by utilizing our customer engagement selling model. They will also effectively utilize and manage all client approved resources to optimize customer engagement.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and manage a designated territory with the goal of maximizing sales
  • Identify and develop business relationships with targeted Health Care providers
  • Employing VBI’s trade strategy with targeted customers by understanding organization’s formulary process and pull through
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales and dose goals
  • Identify key influencers and achieve designated customer interaction expectations with a focus on top target customers
  • Deliver disease state and product presentations to customers in territory outlining vaccines, features, benefits, and services
  • Understand and address both business and scientific-oriented needs of healthcare professionals by engaging in meaningful dialog to determine underlying patient needs and determine how vaccines could address such needs
  • Develop and implement plans for territory to meet sales and dose goals established at the territory level
  • Execution of the customer interaction plan as established by Sales Leadership.
  • Implement and execute in a compliant manner marketing and sales direction to achieve territory promotional objectives
  • Communicate effectively with peers and management
  • Must operate within Compliance Guidelines at all times
  • Adherence to Policies, Process and Procedures

Job Requirements

Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance and an engaging manner, the ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required, Advanced course work in Business/Sales Management preferred
  • Minimum of 2+ years of successful business to business and/or pharma sales experience
  • Local established relationships in Clinic/Office/Hospital strongly preferred
  • Experience with “total office call” account management
  • Minimum 2 years vaccines sales experience and/or “Buy and Bill” experience preferred
  • Experience with managed care pull through preferred
  • Experience with selling in the Hospital Segment preferred
  • Strong track record of high-level performance and consistent achievements 
Interviews may be conducted in person at an on-site interview location. For any in person interviews, local Covid safety guidelines will be followed.

I understand that if I am made an offer of employment, it will be conditioned on my demonstration  I am fully vaccinated OR I plan to initiate vaccination by my start date AND be fully vaccinated within 4 weeks of start date against the COVID-19 virus.

However, in the event that I successfully obtain an exemption, I understand that it is highly unlikely that I will be able to adequately perform the essential functions of this position without imposing an undue hardship on Syneos Health due to the clients’ demands.
