Responsibilities

The Associate Director, Client Services will be responsible for managing an assigned team of direct reports, monitoring team workload, training/reinforcing the use of proper skills, processes and technologies as well as facilitating the communication and sharing best practices.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

Duties may include, but are not limited to, any of the following:

  • Excellent understanding of all supported lines of business (to include Sales Teams, Nurse Teams, MSL’s, Market Access, Engagement Center, and external client support) in order to be able to accomplish the following:
    • Work with Operations departmental lead to hire, motivate, and develop the assigned team and coordinate in the development and training of the team.
    • Manage direct reports to identify training needs. Schedule training to ensure appropriate application of skills.
    • Manage team to identify workload needs and coordinate with departmental lead to assign/revise workflow as necessary.
    • Schedule/lead team meetings as appropriate.
    • Participate in corporate/department meetings around new initiatives/processes.
    • Responsible for communication of information to team as appropriate.
    • Responsible for oversight and quality control of all relevant internal operation reports for internal and client use.
    • Ensure that staff performs to the established quality standards and consistently meets client expectations.
    • Mentor and manage direct reports, providing constructive real time feedback as well as conducting formal goal setting and performance reviews.
    • Proactively partner with team members to identify and resolve problems before there is a business impact to timing, budget or quality of the work.

REQUIRED

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal and client-facing communication skills to interact with senior leadership as well as clients when appropriate
  • Strong operational backbone to manage multiple clients, projects, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working in a globally connected way, as part of an extended team that is spread across other geographic locations
  • Proven leadership and success in a minimum of one aspect of Operations Management support
  • Experience managing small (up to 5) to mid-size (10+) team

PREFERRED

  • 10 or more years of relevant experience in the life sciences industry
  • 7 or more years direct experience in managing field support operations (SFA, help desk/hardware, data services, business intelligence, administrative) and/or non-personal promotion programs (call center, fulfillment) for life science industry clients
