The Brand Strategy Associate is responsible for the creation and implementation of strategic deliverables across all phases of work from proposal to final recommendations. Must possess a curious, strategic mind which can creatively execute across a variety of project deliverables such as:  brand positioning, messaging, brand portfolio strategy, brand personality, brand narrative / storytelling, and brand implementation. The Brand Strategy Associate will develop work at the corporate, divisional and product levels, participating in laying the foundation upon which our client’s brands can be successfully constructed. 


Internal Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to project workload across all areas of expertise and industries
  • Ensure deadlines are met and quality standards are adhered to
  • Continually improve the quality and types of strategy products AW can offer its clients
  • Assist in the development of pitch presentations for potential brand strategy clients

External Responsibilities:

  • Conduct internal and external brand audits
  • Create internal and external interview questionnaires
  • Analyze and interpret discovery research data points to identify potential brand strategy opportunities for clients
  • Aid in development and facilitation of brand strategy workshops in conjunction with project leadership
  • Conduct analysis of potential brand strategy options to identify the most viable option(s)
  • Develop presentations outlining strategy options, recommendations and analysis for clients
  • Take part in ongoing review calls with the client’s project team
  • Aid in development of brand launch plans
  • Assist in development of final client products/deliverables, including brand education, guidelines for positioning, messaging and portfolio strategy, brand decision trees, brand strategy implementation and product naming guidelines

Job Requirements


  • 1 – 3 years of agency experience (preferred) or product marketing/management experience
  • Basic understanding of the elements of brand strategy
  • Creative, analytic and strategic thinking
  • Persuasive writing and speaking abilities
  • Deadline-oriented/able to produce top-quality work under pressure
  • Ability to interact directly with and present to clients at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to interpret and analyze discovery research to make clear strategy recommendations
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Ability to build consensus among multiple groups
  • Attention to detail/accuracy
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Familiarly with project management tools such as Wrike is a plus but not a requirement

 Desired Education:

 Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or a related field
