We are seeking a full or part-time public relations professional to join the Syneos Corporate Communications Practice. This is an opportunity for the right candidate to establish themselves as a go-to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategist and expert within Syneos Health.

Our team is made up of former scientists, medical practitioners, reporters, Fortune 50 spokespeople, digital, media and integrated marketing specialists, internal communications and change management gurus and passionate practitioners of diversity, equity and inclusion programs.


  • A strong communicator, writer and strategist, the ideal candidate will be a high energy, collaborative individual who can manage teams while also rolling up his/her sleeves to work directly with clients to act as their DE&I counsellor and implement programs
  • Mentor individuals and teams within the Corporate Practice and Syneos, and train them to integrate DE&I strategy in their day-to-day work
  • Play major role in creation of client DE&I plans and goals; manage against them
  • They will manage the Syneos DE&I Advisory Council with support from junior team members, and develop thought leadership on behalf of Syneos to enhance awareness of our DE&I offerings
  • They will collaborate closely with the MD and senior peers to identify and pitch client prospects, they will also be integrally involved in developing new offerings as client needs arise. 


Job Requirements

  • 12-15 years of experience in corporate communications and/or health communications working with small, mid-size or large companies; agency (preferred) or in-house background
  • Of that, at least 4 years developing DE&I strategies for corporations and non-profits, preferably in the health arena, advising clients at different stages of their DE&I journey. Must have proven experience in establishing and/or supporting DE&I initiatives through creative and measurable strategic counsel and effective communications.

However, in the event that I successfully obtain an exemption, I understand that it is highly unlikely that I will be able to adequately perform the essential functions of this position without imposing an undue hardship on Syneos Health due to the clients’ demands.
