The Injection Training Specialist would work on an as-needed basis accepting assignments for the sole purpose of injection training, live or virtually to patients helping them to be comfortable and confident administering the prescribed client product from his/her health care provider.

Responsibilities

The Injection Training Specialist is for injection training (live or virtually) to patients and caregivers in order to provide comfort and confidence when administering a prescribed Crohn’s Disease/UC medication from his/her health care provider. In this role, you will provide post-prescription education, disease state education, as well as demonstration to patients and caregivers on the proper use of the medication for Crohn’s/Ulcerative colitis. You will also:

• Provide clinical expertise to patients through utilization of your clinical nursing skills and education, helping to improve patient outcomes demonstrating a command of technology, customer service principles and adult learning styles
• Conduct the training within 5 days of the assignment request or at the convenience of the patient
• Complete post training survey and report within 24-hours of training completion
• Maintain product and technical knowledge in areas appropriate to the products represented and for uses
• consistent with product labeling
• Provide field written reports, documentation and written feedback in a timely and comprehensive manner as required
• Accurately and timely reporting of all expenses incurred, assignments/hours completed, mileage of travel, etc
• Other Duties as required.

Job Requirements

Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance and an engaging manner, the ideal candidate has:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse license in good standing and be licensed in the state in which the in-home training occurs.

• Experience in Rheumatology and/or Gastroenterology with Crohns/UC disease preferred
• Have at least two to five years clinical or related experience in injection training and education.
• Be available to work 2 or more days/week providing in home and/or virtual, patient injection training. This includes nights and weekends
• Ability to travel for in home assignments
• Comfort with personal and system technologies such as various virtual platforms.
• Access to private location in a home setting to conduct patient trainings virtually without interruption if needed.

I understand that if I am made an offer of employment, it will be conditioned on my demonstration that I am fully vaccinated OR I plan to initiate vaccination by my start date AND be fully vaccinated within 4 weeks of start date against the COVID-19 virus.   ​

IMPORTANT: I understand that if the role for which I am applying requires extensive in-person contact with health care providers and other medical professionals who have stringent vaccination requirements that all Syneos Health employees with whom they partner be fully vaccinated and will not accept or consider any exemptions.  I understand I can request an exemption from Syneos Health’s vaccination requirement based on a qualifying medical condition or sincerely-held religious belief. However, in the event that I successfully obtain an exemption, I understand that it is highly unlikely that I will be able to adequately perform the essential functions of this position without imposing an undue hardship on Syneos Health due to the clients’ demands. ​
