Syneos Health’s Reputation & Risk Management practice is looking for an exceptional Assistant Account Executive/Account Executive with a keen interest in their own professional development to join our rapidly growing group. The role will require a strong interest or experience in corporate communications for healthcare organizations.  Our team is seeking an experienced counselor/practitioner who is adept at finding answers to questions that can’t be addressed by a simple formula. Candidates we consider must have a proven track-record of rolling up their sleeves and gathering available information to formulate persuasive strategies and programs for clients.

 

Candidates offered a position will complement our group of senior communications consultants who hail from backgrounds in health policy, Congress, the legal profession, corporate reputation, risk mitigation and consulting. As a member of the practice, this position will interact with Fortune 500 company executives to help them advance and protect their reputations in a dynamic environment. It is an optimal role for someone who cares about working with clients in the midst of dynamic changes occurring in national health policy and pharmaceutical industry practices.

 

What you’ll do: Daily activities will require solving problems, project management and supporting team deliverables to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a client responder in several day-to-day activities for 1- 2 client accounts/ large projects that focus on corporate communications, reputation management and stakeholder engagement
  • Provide ad hoc support across other focus areas/projects
  • Support client service for key accounts and ensure the successful execution of strategies and programs
  • Conduct research, drafting to support team strategies and projects
  • Help organize and compile perspectives from a team of experts who inform client recommendations
  • Develop messaging documents and materials; ensure quality control and strong execution of deliverables
  • Support the strategic development and execution of proactive media relations and milestones announcements (opportunistic media, executive visibility and pipeline communications)
  • Collaborate and coordinate with colleagues across Syneos Health Communications for the service of client work
  • Support teams through management of timelines, calendars and action plans
  • Support the client budgets, account staffing and monthly billing processes
  • Regularly engage and collaborate with partners including creative team, vendors, media specialists, etc.
  • Attend client meetings, handle note taking and actionable client recaps

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of PR/communications experience (some agency experience preferred)

  •  

    Excellent writing skills with deep experience developing communications for a variety of  messaging for a variety of audiences
  • Persuasive speaker
  • Poise and capability working under tight timelines
  • Healthcare or pharmaceutical industry expertise preferred
  • Ability to develop and deliver communications that are clear, persuasive and appropriate for C-suite executives
