We are searching for a motivated, proactive Account Executive candidate to be a key team member for two dynamic accounts that have diverse PR programming opportunities, including data and regulatory milestones, corporate communications and visibility, advocacy relations and disease awareness campaigns.

Account 1:

 This long-time Chamberlain account blends rare disease corporate and product communications, issues, advocacy and community/patient engagement with a focus on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)

  • Potential opportunities for support include brand communications (i.e., data, regulatory, launches), patient and influencer engagement efforts, messaging/narrative, and advocacy engagement
  • Business is focused in the U.S. and includes close integration across Syneos media, digital, creative and risk & reputation management teams, as well as advertising and consulting agencies supporting the same client
  • Work with engaged clients who appreciate attention to detail, creative and quick thinking and collaborative

Account 2:

  • Client is a biopharmaceutical company with a key focus on CNS. Majority of work is focused on dementia, with additional activities to support rare disease.
  • Business is focused in US and includes unbranded disease awareness program, brand communications (data/congress, regulatory milestones), strong focus on advocacy and patient engagement, media outreach, social media content and executive visibility/thought leadership
  • Respectful and engaged clients who appreciate creative thinking and view us as real partners



  • Provides overall account support including development of content, supporting formal review and approval through client's approval process, mentoring junior staff 
  • Research and write press releases, internal newsletter articles, media materials, social media content and other materials
  • Implement of client programs and projects from concept to execution and help manage budgets
  • Develop action plans and maintain media lists
  • Project tracking
  • Media monitoring support
  • A team member who will support account team leads and help to manage and mentor junior team member

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications or related field
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional environment within the healthcare public relations and/or communications industries 
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure in a fast-paced (but fun) environment 
  • Account is fast-paced, so prioritization and time management skills are of utmost importance
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and third-parties 
  • Must have strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Traditional and social media experience and passion 
  • Individual should be a self-starter/self-motivator
  • Experience with data communications a plus but not required
