The Disease State Awareness Specialist is responsible for providing outbound marketing and inbound customer telephonic support in a pharmaceutical environment.  

Key Job Responsibilities:

(Duties may include, but not limited to all or some of the following):

  • Achieve contract performance goals and objectives as established in the client agreement
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all company-approved disease state information
  • Develop and execute accurate product awareness messaging using all resources
  • Effective collaboration with field teams, internal and external stakeholders to implement an appropriate strategic approach to engage assigned targets
  • Conduct effective Pre and post-call analysis of calls
  • Maintain required project documentation
  • Handle and resolve customer inquiries and complaints to forward to appropriate client teams
  • Identify and escalate priority issues
  • Participate in all required training and development programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance, and an engaging manner, the ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years’ Pharmaceutical experience or clinical engagement / clinical acumen experience
  • 1+ year of Rare Disease, Hematology, or Medical/Clinical experience is preferred
  • Expert customer engagement skills and relationship building success via remote and in-person promotion
  • Demonstrate initiative, self-motivated and performance-driven
  • Ability to travel overnight based on business/territory needs, no more than 20% of total travel
