Overview

The past year has shown the importance of healthcare communications. What we do on a daily basis effects the world around us in a tangible way we can see. Are you inquisitive, research-minded and interested in public health, healthcare public relations, media, or marketing? We are seeking a Research Associate eager to explore the intersection of health, media, and communications and inform strategies for engaging key stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated research and technical skills, a collaborative mindset, and an ability to think strategically through a research question to develop insights. It is a unique opportunity to join a small team of research and analytics specialists, and find your niche in health communications.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities will include onging (daily) media monitoring and media analysis (traditional/social), measurement, and support for custom research requests. These projects may include backgrounders, landscape analyses, influencer mapping, survey research, and brand audits. You will have an opportunity to partner with colleagues to develop research projects from concept to deliverable, delve deep into new topics, multiple therapeutic areas and explore the players and issues facing biopharma today.

Job Requirements

  • Must have a B.A./B.S degree in communications, liberal arts, business/marketing or sciences; 0-6 months full-time professional experience required
  • Experience with online research databases or advanced search (e.g., Factiva, PubMed) preferred – college coursework counts
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
  • Solid writing skills
  • Must have a strong interest in healthcare public relations, advertising, or communications

As a healthcare company we have an important responsibility to protect individual and public health. This position will require individuals to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as part of their job responsibilities, unless an exemption can be confirmed based on a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief. Submission & Approval of an Exemption does not guarantee that an exemption can be accommodated.

At Syneos Health Public Relations, the possibilities are infinite. Because of our “no walls, no limits” philosophy and entrepreneurial spirit, our employees have the opportunity and potential to work on projects beyond their years of experience. The only limitations here are those that are self-imposed, and we make sure to reward staff based on talent, not title.
