Overview

As a Business Manager, you will support the financial and operational needs of the US Public Relations team.

Responsibilities

As a Business Manager, you will support the financial and operational needs of the US Public Relations team. Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide and analyze real time reporting of project financial performance
    • Maintain weekly budget trackers
    • Perform data validation
    • Analyze and execute time moves
    • Key performance metrics: burn rates, profitability, billability, etc
    • Assist the account teams with monthly financial forecasting and staffing projections
    • Manage communications between the account teams, PFAs and finance – keeping all relevant parties informed and accountable for changes and updates
    • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset – suggesting areas to streamline and standardize
    • Initiate and facilitate actions against potential overbudgets
      • Work with account leads to secure additional budget or move budget between projects
      • Put forth writeoff request
      • Identify root cause and provide efficiencies to avoid future budgeting issues
      • Create and maintain investment oversight protocols
      • Partner with contract manager in the new client set up process – contracting, rates, approvals, etc
      • Own the project set up process: approval documentation, budgets, staffing, etc
      • Partner with contract manager in the vendor contracting and invoicing process
      • Initiate and own side projects that further the efficiencies of USPR operations

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-5 years work experience
  • Background in project management, finance or operations preferred
  • Detail oriented and excellent communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel
  • Experience with Oracle preferred
  • Keen eye for process improvements and reporting efficiencies
