The Design Director’s core responsibility is to lead the Design Department and deliver world-class design and experiences, whether digital or physical. Oversee the design teams and ensure that all efforts lead to creative outcomes that are high-quality and on-brand. As the leader of design, the DD will need to have a wide base of technical knowledge and be able to guide designers through an array of complicated design problems. Effective communication, innovation, and high-level design problem-solving. In addition to communicating our design philosophy to design teams and stakeholders, supervise the entire design process and all-important technical decisions. Cultivate, maintain and grow client relationships. An expert communicator, keep in touch with all team members and make sure that everyone has the resources and knowledge needed to succeed.

The Design Director ultimately strives to advance GSW’s capabilities as a design powerhouse by driving innovative design solutions in partnership with creative, strategy and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in and contributes to all conceptual projects

  • Possesses a strong understanding of brand strategy to ensure that all design are rooted in and support our strategic goals.
  • Forges good working relationships with counterparts in creative, Strategy and Account Management leadership
  • Ownership of quality control
  • Client facing/presentational skills

Job Requirements
