Responsibilities

  • Support Alexion senior leads in development and execution of communications strategy, including development of external communications for regulatory and data milestones (e.g., press releases, fact sheets, videos, social media content) and thought leadership activities (e.g. short form and long form executive content, briefing materials, presentations and speaking engagements)
  • Coach more junior members of the team, review and oversee development of timelines, calendars, action plans, runs of show, agendas, call notes and overall account support materials
  • Cross-functional project management with different teams (e.g., corporate communications, creative, digital/social) to ensure timely delivery of flawless materials and counsel to support account activities
  • Review and oversee milestone-specific media monitoring and results reporting
  • Support budget management and monthly billing processes
  • Support day-to-day activities and serve as point of contact on key projects for core clients
  • Regularly collaborate with partnering agencies, shared services, vendors, media and other third-parties

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a professional environment within the public relations and/or communications industries 
  • Experience and interest in healthcare communications (required); experience with high-science/biotech
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure in a fast-paced (but fun) environment 
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and third-parties 
  • Must have strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Data and regulatory milestones (required), social media and thought leadership experience 
  • Individual should be a self-starter/self-motivator
