The Account Director balances account support and account leadership responsibilities while supporting the VP, Managing Director within our Medical Device and Technology group. From the account support perspective, the Account Director is responsible for writing proposals, contributing to pitch development and presentations, and managing projects as they move through the Addison Whitney process. From the account leadership perspective, the Account Director is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships, leading pitch development and presentation, closing new business, leading client calls, communicating needs to internal and external teams and leading the management of projects as they move through the Addison Whitney process. 

Responsibilities

  • Scope specific projects, develop proposals, and create budget estimates for new project opportunities both independently and in support of the VP, Managing Director
  • Create and maintain project timelines, schedules and budgets
  • Plan, monitor, appraise, and review project progress and team contributions
  • Clearly communicate project status, deadlines, deliverables, etc. to internal and external team members
  • Review all deliverables for strategic, creative and grammatical accuracy prior to client delivery
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across Syneos Health agencies
  • Meet assigned outreach, sales, business opportunity and revenue goals
  • Utilize the Wrike project management system
  • Proactively approach opportunities, project challenges and other situations with curiosity and genuine interest in creative solutions
  • Contribute positively to team-oriented culture centered around respect and accountability

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant work experience required
  • Experience in the medical device/technology space is strongly preferred
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well both within a team and independently
