Responsibilities

The Regional Sales Manager will report to a Syneos National Business Director and will be directly responsible to hire, train and develop, as well as coach to success the sales team in their region in order to successfully promote product targeted physicians. The RSM will be responsible for motivating, managing, and developing the skill sets and overall performance of the vaccine specialists in their region. Effectively identify and monitor multiple local market conditions to build and support strong customer relationships while driving product promotion solutions and executing marketing strategies. Monitor field activities to ensure all are within compliance guidelines and provide timely feedback on marketing tactics and market conditions while collaborating closely with leadership, commercial operations, marketing, and medical affairs.  As a Regional Sales Manager you will:

  • Lead a team of Vaccine Specialists to promote vaccines to targeted physicians and accounts to achieve specific business goals
  • Direct Vaccine Specialists in the acquisition, expansion, and retention of targeted business within the assigned geographic area
  • Participate in the formulation of sales strategies, communicate, and execute these strategies, and apply to business issues within the region. Develop plans that effectively National Strategy at the Regional level.
  • Ensure Vaccine Specialists employ VBI’s trade strategy with targeted customers by understanding organization’s formulary process and pull through
  • Establish and manage regional budgets; ensure appropriate return on investment
  • Work in the field with Vaccine Specialists on a consistent basis, evaluating, coaching, and directing live and virtual sales presentations
  • Provide verbal and written guidance, coaching, follow up, and development of Vaccine Specialists in all phases of their work.
  • Inspire trust and positive working environment and develop culture that demonstrates appropriate behaviors and competencies including: Driving Accountability, Fostering Teamwork & Collaboration, Empowering Performance, Strategic Thinking and Business Acumen, Policy adherence, Process & Procedures, and Respecting Diversity.
  • Must operate within Compliance Guidelines at all times

Job Requirements

Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance and an encouraging manner, the ideal candidate has:
  • Bachelor's Degree Required, Advanced course work in Business/Sales Management preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years of successful experience in pharma/vaccines sales manager preferred
  • Minimum 2 years vaccines sales experience and/or "Buy and Bill" experience preferred
  • Experience building & managing sales teams preferred
  • Experience with managed care pull through preferred
  • Experience with selling in the Hospital Segment preferred
  • Experience managing very large geographies preferred
  • Strong track record of high-level performance and consistent achievements
  • The ability to travel and possess a valid driver’s license to drive to assigned healthcare accounts, unless otherwise specified
