The Panel Support Specialist is responsible for tracking the responses for market research and managed care panelists as well as managing inbound/outbound customer service lines.  At all times, the telephone staff is committed to addressing and resolving customer service issues in a timely manner.  The Panel Management Specialists is responsible for ensuring the highest levels of professionalism and responsiveness in developing strong business relationships with the healthcare practitioners that participate in Syneos surveys.  This position requires working in an organized and motivated manner.


  • Assists in maintenance of the healthcare professional database to ensure participant information is accurate, accessible, and beneficial to conducting successful fieldwork.
  • Works with project owners to define requirements, set priorities, and schedules.
  • Assists in the processing of honoraria for research projects.
  • Ensures panelist issues or problems are resolved in a timely and client-friendly manner.
  • Supports the effective fulfillment of the W9 process.
  • Maintains proactive communication with gift suppliers/vendors in order to build strong relationships.
  • Accurately logs information and completes appropriate paperwork to support all facets of the sample management process.
  • Represents Syneos Research in a positive, friendly and professional manner when communicating with new and existing research participants.
  • Stays current on new and evolving techniques for recruiting and interfacing with research participants.
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of panel assets and make recommendations on how to best interface with existing panelists and to attract new panelists.
  • Proactively monitors panelist activity and behavior for potentially fraudulent activity that could compromise research quality and integrity.
  • Communicates regularly with managers to improve project efficiency and promote successful execution of primary and secondary research.
  • Solicit feedback from panelists and implement improvements to facilitate a positive experience for research participants.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • One to three years’ experience working in an office setting  with call center or related experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in order to interface with survey respondents over the phone or via email
  • Strong customer service focus, detail oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, multi-faceted call center
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Database experience and query building a plus
  • Must possess a clear speaking voice and professional phone etiquette
