Syneos Health PR is looking for a digitally focused Creative Director to join our growing team. Candidates must have a strong creative vision and be passionate about ideas, building teams, and crafting award winning digital work for some of the world’s most iconic health brands. Candidates will also assist with new business and internal efforts.

The Creative Director will be responsible for setting and delivering the digital and social creative vision and maintaining creative standards for her/his brands. She/he leads creative teams to the completion of the highest-quality creative solutions consistent with strategy, contracts, and agreements. Additionally, she/he is responsible for working in partnership with Account Services and Account Planning colleagues to lead and manage all aspects of her/his client relationships through the highest quality work.

Responsibilities

  • High Creative Standards: Inspiring in creative briefings, challenging in creative reviews and aspirational in creative presentations, the Creative Director leads, directs, and champions ideas of the highest caliber and which elevate the creative standards of the agency

     

    Big Hairy Ideas

    • Choose and champion work of the highest caliber and which best delivers on the high standards of the agency
    • Provide creative leadership and standards for the entire brand(s)
    • During daily briefings, determine whether production or inspiration is needed, and direct accordingly
    • Reach into Waves, across Core teams and flexible resources to brief and direct

    Proactive Strategic Thinking

    • Identify and exploit opportunity within creative and strategic assignments
    • Help provide overall strategic planning and initiatives
    • Deliver organic revenue growth as well as cross-selling initiatives via creative ideas and solutions

     

    Working Collaboratively

    • Create partnership approach with peers from other departments (e.g. Account Services, Creative Services, Digital, etc.) on client’s business
    • Ensure optimal talent-to-task in order to best deliver creative work that meets client contract and project agreements
    • In concert with Creative Manager, monitor and manage team activity to ensure timely delivery of products and services to accounts

     

    Client Convincing

    • Partner with clients on effective creative development
    • Facilitate communication between team members and clients necessary to maintain strong relationships and effective creative management
    • Troubleshoot, negotiate, and collaborate with clients to maintain integrity and success of the work

     

    Corporate Citizenship

    • Provide creative and management direction as well as developmental support to direct reports
    • Oversee relationships with other marketing partners of clients as required (producers, photographers, retouchers, etc.)
    • Select representative creative work to be entered into award shows
    • Help manage the creative side of client finances and contracts, compliance, billings, write-offs, receivables, etc.
    • Ensure delivery of high-quality products and services consistent with contracts and agreements
    • Participate in new business/client activities and pitches as requested

Job Requirements

  • 6 plus years plus experience in advertising or design
  • Must have a thorough understanding of client’s business/category and demonstrate a best in class creative approach in offering creative solutions to an assigned client or category
  • Prior business development experience and demonstrated success strategic and concepting skills
  • Demonstrated success in managing a cross-functional team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience working on a wide- range of accounts and categories
