  • An experienced consumer healthcare media specialist who will parner with senior media strategic counselors and overall account teams - with strong branded pharmaceutical product, treatment and disease education campaigns and regulatory affairs experience
    • Solid list of media contacts
    • Experience in issues/crisis management a plus
    • Demonstrate confidence when providing counsel and ability to meet tight turnaround times
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of media environment and ability to proactively co
  • me up with new ways to engage media
    • Experience as a healthcare journalist also valued as an alternative, but PR experience preferred
    • Agency experience preferred, given client management aspect of account
    • Understanding of social media crossover in traditional media is a plus; ongoing collaboration with social/digital team expected
  • Priority focus will be on branded or brand supportive material development and proactive outreach surrounding major campaigns, congresses, publications, regulatory actions and issues preparedness. This will include:
    • Conducting and delivering target media research and recommendations (e.g., media lists, ed cals, reporter backgrounds, strategic approach)
    • Drafting key message, media alerts and pitch letter
  • Strong writing, organization, logistics, oral communications skills and attention to detail are critical. Additionally, an understanding of corporate review processes, healthcare/FDA and EMA regulations and issues management is beneficial 
  • Flexible and willing to jump in on additional projects across the agency as needed
  • Ability to successfully manage several projects at once

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a professional environment within the healthcare public relations and/or communications industries 
  • Experience and interest media relations, healthcare and science
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure in a fast-paced (but fun) environment, meeting internal and external deadlines
