Overview

Fidi-based design studio is seeking a motivated Project Manager to join their close knit, hardworking team. This candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years’ agency experience (PR or Advertising). The bulk of projects are centered on healthcare and wellness clients, so it would be helpful if the candidate had an interest in this area. This candidate should have a good eye for design, a creative mind, and a desire to be strategic vs. executional as well as a head for business. Being proactive vs. reactive on this team is also critical.

 

 

Responsibilities

Since Project Managers are the glue that helps keep projects and teams moving along to achieve the end deliverable, we need someone who will be responsible for planning, organizing, managing and executing projects from beginning to end. Our project scopes can vary from single pieces of collateral to multifaceted, multichannel PR campaigns, so the ability to juggle is critical.

The Project Manager will be the conduit between the studio and the public relations account teams (our internal clients) to put scopes and estimates together.  The Project Manager will also partner closely with designers, art directors and developers in the studio to ensure deadlines, objectives, budgets are met.  This candidate will also handle resourcing talent, watching over bandwidth, identifying gaps in staffing

Job Requirements

  • Must be experienced and open to working within a Project Management System and have the ability to ensure team adherence to utilizing it.
  • Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to articulate and relay sensitive feedback to designers. Delivery is critical to the success of this candidate.
  • Must have good diplomacy, patience and a sense of humor. Work in our studio comes in fast and furious and this candidate needs to dig in and own their projects.
  • PM’s are excepted to grow their accounts organically by upselling the teams with creative ideas/executions/tactics the teams may have not thought of, since creatives bring a different perspective to the table.
  • This candidate should not be shy or timid since they will be responsible for the leadership of multiple projects from inception to completion.
  • They need to be resourceful and willing to attend brainstorms and jump in on new business projects when they come up. A large part of this highly collaborative role is the ability to negotiate and facilitate relationships since the creative process can be stressful
  • Have a sense of ownership/leadership
  • Work collaboratively
  • Detail oriented
  • Have strong verbal and writing skills (and a technical understanding)
  • Ability to track budgets accurately
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (does not need to be proficient in design programs but a general understanding is helpful)
