We are seeking a public relations professional with strong project management, logistical and desktop research skills. This job presents the opportunity to work on two different work streams for accounts that cover rare diseases and genomic medicines.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior leads in development and execution of broad communications strategy for a mid-level and a large biotech, including corporate and scientific narrative and brand refinement and roll out, executive visibility, corporate and data milestone announcements and internal communications
  • Develop internal and external communications, ranging from disease factsheets and animations to corporate messaging and executive social media content to briefing materials and executive slides to support larger presentations
  • Robust, cross-functional project management ensuring timely delivery of flawless materials and counsel to support corporate communications, scientific exchange, social media, thought leadership, internal communications and media relations
  • Review and oversee development of timelines, calendars, action plans, runs of show, agendas, call notes and overall account support materials
  • Review and oversee milestone-specific media monitoring and results reporting
  • Support budget management and monthly billing processes
  • Act as day-to-day contact for core clients
  • Regularly collaborate with partnering agencies, shared services, vendors, media and other third-parties

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a professional environment within the public relations and/or communications industries (required)
  • Experience and interest in healthcare communications (required); experience with high-science/biotech (preferred)
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure in a fast-paced (but fun) environment (required)
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and third-parties (required)
  • Must have strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills (required)
  • Corporate media, advocacy relations and social media experience (preferred)
  • Individual should be a self-starter/self-motivator
