You know what needs to be done, and your penchant for strategic delegation and problem-solving makes you a natural fit for this Senior Project Manager position with Kinetic.

The senior project manager (SPM) is the subject matter expert for delivery processes and PMO standards. They are the primary internal liaison for project tactics and are accountable for project execution. Their primary role is to lead complex, high-risk, high-profile, or multivariable projects from conception to launch. The SPM has expert-level project management skills that would allow this person to lead any type of delivery project with limited supervision.  


Responsibilities

Delivery Responsibilities

  • Delivery and management of technical and strategic projects
  • Drive the definition of project scope, deliverables, and milestones for project implementation
  • Identify project staff needs and work with resource managers and PCs to ensure accuracy and updates of resource plans
  • Lead the estimation process and provide project budget and staff plan parameters
  • Collaborate with SME teams to define project activity and key deliverables to develop project schedule and author project charter
  • Monitor project scope and critical path, identify potential bottlenecks, and work with PC to make schedule adjustments
  • Work with project team to identify project risk, plan for risk response and mitigation, and proactively monitor project risks and resolutions
  • Resolve conflicts, including scope, schedule, resource, budget, quality, and communication 
  • Accountable for adequate project documentation (FRD, BRD, etc) 
  • Accountable for application of Intouch delivery processes and PMO standards across their projects
  • Mentor and assist with training of Project Managers and PCs
  • Project Finances: In conjunction with PMO Lead, owns the overall health on assigned projects.  Manages project financial lifecycle, including estimates, revenue forecasts, invoicing, payables, receivables, etc.  Provides accurate and realistic cost-to-complete estimates and forecasts for assigned projects.

  • Project plan creation

  • Review and distribute meeting recaps
  • Lead project kickoffs and status meetings

 

 

 

  • Interpret and distribute project burn analysis
  • Inform team of portfolio forecast plan
  • Project change impact analysis
  • Contribute inputs to project status

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree and 5-8 years of experience

  • Emotional intelligence – self-awareness, professional maturity, ability to keep calm when situations escalate, filter issues from trickling down to the team – based on 360 review

 

Project Management:

  • Experience managing and leading delivery of technology-based projects and/or strategy-based projects
  • Understanding of Intouch systems and processes
  • Accountable for change requests with understanding of budget and scope
  • Experience in communicating project status, risk, scope, etc to client

 

 

  • Facilitate meetings to secure decisions and identify next steps
  • First touchpoint of escalation for Project Managers and PCs
  • Knows how to develop a strategic or technical heavy project plan
  • Adept and experienced in producing marketing assets (varies by portfolio/program)
