The District Manager will report to the Syneos Health National Business Director and will be directly responsible for hiring, training and developing as well as coaching to success the sales team in their area in order to successfully promote the products to targeted physicians. Will be responsible for motivating, managing and developing the skill sets and overall performance of the sales representatives in your district. Effectively identify and monitor multiple local market conditions and build and support strong customer relationships. Monitor all field activities to make certain all are within compliance guidelines and ensure timely feedback on marketing tactics and market conditions while collaborating closely with leadership, commercial operations, marketing and medical affairs.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Consistently achieve and exceed district sales goals
  • Recruit, hire and lead a best in class team to exceed sales goals
  • Strategically allocate area sales effort and resources based on account priority
  • Make sales call on critical 'key accounts’ within the district
  • Conduct regular field visits with Sales Representatives for the purpose of identifying developmental areas and providing prompt feedback
  • Effectively coach members of the district sales team on the execution of marketing strategy, effective use of marketing tools and attend to performance management issues quickly and effectively
  • Hold regular sales meetings focused on sales progress, sales opportunities and growth, competitive issues and ongoing training
  • Communicate regularly with senior sales management on opportunities and threats
  • Ensure district sales team operates in full compliance of company policies and corporate governance
  • Travel: 50%+

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree required 
  • At least 3 years of Pharmaceutical Sales leadership
  • Speciality experience preferred
  • Experience in building sales teams desired
  • Strong track record of sales success
