The Key Account Manager owns the relationships with Oncology Integrated Customers and leverages these relationships to generate increased demand and access for the Oncology product by targeting appropriate influencers, decision-makers, and prescribers within the integrated customer environment. Each Account Manager will have lead account responsibility for 7-12 customer accounts in multiple locations. The Key Account Manager will call on key decision makers across accounts (S-suite, C-suite, Pathway and P&T committee members) and prescribers across the account. The Key Account Manager will coordinate all appropriate selling activities at these designated priority accounts. The geography covers the entire state of Florida, including Miami and Tampa.

  • Develop and drive the relationship with target accounts, including establishing and maintaining positive relationships with key influencers and decision makers within the accounts, such as Key Opinion Leaders, Oncology department supervisors, and members of Medical Evaluation Committees
  • Build and manage account profile for each assigned account, detailing procedure for protocol development, pull-through targets for sales force, current placement of product on pathway and protocols, and identification of key influencers and protocol decision-makers.
  • Employ in-person tactics to execute against account plans, including visiting accounts to promote sales efforts, manage contract strategy (where appropriate), and provide clinical, efficacy and safety information on product to key treatment decision makers/executive teams within these high control accounts.
  • Evaluate unique needs of the Integrated Customer and work with Regional Business Leader and other corporate functions (e.g., Managed Markets, Trade Relations, Value Access, Contracting, Medical, HEOR, Marketing) to develop tactical strategies to support account needs and expand use of product.
  • Detail target physicians on approved product message

Job Requirements

Along with demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness and a results-oriented mindset, the ideal candidate has:

  • BS/BA Degree required
  • 5+ years in Oncology sales experience, breast cancer experience preferred
  • 2+ years in hospital sales
  • Proven experience with integrated customers and knowledge of integrated health systems
  • Experience with buy and bill medication
  • Contract management experience 
  • Virtual Engagement Experience
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Residence within the current geography
  • Existing relationships with territory accounts a strong plus
  • Proven track record of success in competitive environment
