Such talent and ingenuity make you the right fit for this unique Freelance Digital Quality Manager role with GSW.

Advances GSW’s ability to operate as a digital agency through partnership with the Technology and Operations department. Manages and executes all aspects of Digital Quality Assurance to ensure clean release of all interactive, web, and digital deliverables in terms of functionality and usability. This includes maintaining a thorough knowledge of each project’s goals and technical specifications at all steps of a project’s digital creation, each project’s past and current issues, as well as best practices for each deliverable. Is responsible for understanding and regulating overall QA workload, resources (hardware, software, and personnel), and long- and short-term priorities.

Establishes processes and digital best practices within GSW as needed, especially as it relates to quality assurance. Creates process documentation for training and reference. Stays current on technologies and issues related to digital quality and standards. Educates and assists other teams in incorporating digital best practices throughout the agency.

In partnership with Digital Program Managers, helps with digital project management and exeuctio on our small-mid tier clients.

  • Reviews all digital projects for functionality and useability. Final gatekeeper for all quality issues.
  • Creates and maintains schedules for testing and records of all known issues (bug testing/tracking) for each digital projects. Ensures all issues must be acknowledged and addressed by relevant personnel.
  • Responsible for prioritizing projects and managing workloads of QC personnel.  
  • Looks for ways to improve quality assurance process, reduce errors, facilitate communication between teams.
  • Writes process documentation to support training, initiatives related to quality assurance as well as coaching inexperienced staff.
  • Assists DPMs with; misc. project management and execution as well as WRIKE & resource management

Job Requirements

  • Strong technical, organizational, and analytical skills; is a critical thinker and applies that function to tasks at hand
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple projects under tight timelines in a team environment
  • Comfort with design and functionality of basic digital environments: Web, email, and interactive assets
  • Understanding of job responsibilities of others and functions appropriately; continues to research and stay ahead of market trends and innovative approaches in field of expertise.
  • Process Management: Good at figuring out the processes necessary to get things done; knows how to organize people and activities; understands how to separate and combine tasks into efficient work flow; knows what to measure and how to measure it
  • QA: Keen awareness and knowledge of issues and practices related to functionality and usability, editing, and design. Extremely sharp attention to detail.
  • Writing Skills: Demonstrated and proven skill in written communications, especially technical or scientific writng. Ability to create clear, detailed learning tools and process documentation.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Is confident and effective in a variety of presentation settings: one-on-one, small/large groups, with peers, direct reports, and supervisors. Establishes enthusiasm for digital processes and encourages open, respectful communication among departments and personnel
