Responsibilities

The role of the Program Operations Specialist is to support Healthcare Provider (HCP) offices and/or healthcare systems who may be interested in prescribing the client product to their patients, in understanding the Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies (REMS) requirements, REMS enrollment, and ongoing REMS compliance.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

Ensure Understanding of Product’s REMS Requirements by Informing on:

  • REMS Requirements: Support HCP offices through REMS Requirements including healthcare setting enrollment and certification, patient enrollment, imaging requirements, authorization to dispense and annual reenrollment requirements
  • REMS Certification Process: Proactively and reactively provide information on the healthcare setting guide, knowledge assessment, and enrollment form. Ensure Authorized Representative understanding of the REMS training requirements and resources that need to be trained on for HCPs and staff within the office/system.
  • REMS Patient Resources: Including the patient enrollment and continuation forms and the process for uploading to the REMS system

Provide Operational Support/Guidance for REMS enrollment and Strategic Account Management

  • Assist offices in identifying and resolving operational hurdles that may be barriers to REMS implementation in a manner that complies with company policies, processes and standard operating procedures.


Provide Strategic Account Management

  • Participate in business review meetings to evaluate effectiveness of role.
  • Work appropriately with applicable stakeholders to coordinate efforts with shared customers

Job Requirements

Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance and an encouraging manner, the ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7+ years experience in commercial/pharmaceutical sales
  • 5+ years in specialty or hospital based sales
  • Strong Account Management experience required
  • Experience navigating health systems
  • REMS process, compliance, or operations experience desirable
