We are seeking a public relations professional with strong project management, logistical and desktop research skills. This job presents the opportunity to work on two different work streams for accounts that cover two theraputic areas, social media and advocacy work.

Responsibilities

  • Support team development of internal and external communications, ranging from press releases, to social media posts, educational content (infographics/fact sheets/videos)
  • Develop timelines, calendars, action plans, runs of show, agendas, call notes and overall account support materials
  • Understand nuances of different types of therapeutic areas, including science and data as well as disease state background, patient demographics, advocacy organizations and competitors
  • Conduct document referencing, gain knowledge of online review system and participate in MLR reviews
  • Conduct media monitoring and results reporting around data and regulatory milestones and awareness moments and routine competitor/advocacy landscape monitoring
  • Support budget management and monthly billing processes
  • Regularly engage with client teams and collaborate with partnering agencies, shared services, vendors, media and other third-parties

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications or related field (preferred)
  • Maximum 1-2 years of experience  in a professional environment within the public relations and/or communications industries (required)
  • Experience and interest in healthcare (preferred)
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure in a fast-paced (but fun) environment (required)
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and third-parties (required)
  • Must have strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills (required)
  • Social media experience and passion
  • Individual should be a self-starter/self-motivator
