Responsibilities

This client-facing leadership role will be responsible for strategic innovation and operational oversight of Commercial analytic functions including segmentation, targeting, alignment, analytics and reporting for Syneos client(s). The leader will provide a vision which drives the creation of industry-leading analytical practices and tools, developed in close collaboration with the data science team and the business technology team. 

The role will contribute to new initiatives which enhance the usability of information by Syneos Health and its clients; this includes designing tools, analyses and reports for the field and sales management teams to enhance productivity and provide information to measure the impact of promotional and other marketing/sales activity. The role acts as point person for the quality and delivery of all such information.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Project Reporting needs for a 1B+ organization spanning across 100+separate projects.
  • Lead a group of twenty-five management and professional individuals to support the strategic objectives of the Commercial Excellence and Business Intelligence function.
  • Drive proactive analytics to increase the average length of our clients, as well as identify value-adds for our clients

           2. Clients for Life Initiative
  • Successfully operate across two broad strategies simultaneously
           1. Operational excellence with current clients by delivering analytical products & services and
           2. Rapid innovation by bringing industry-leading analytical capabilities to Syneos Health clients.
  • Responsible for driving commercial excellence performance for internal teams, i.e. technology and data analytic insights.
  • Provides functional team members strategic direction and management guidance.
  • Represent function in client pitches and similar engagements.
  • Support Forward-Bound Initiative as necessary.

Job Requirements

Along with demonstrated initiative, uncompromised integrity and a results-oriented mindset, the ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in computer science, statistics or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 12-15 years of related technical experience in healthcare, pharma, or life sciences.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing senior level professionals and managers.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management and vital support staff in a variety of functional areas from C-Suite, Sales, Operations, Technology, Marketing, Medical Leadership functions
  • Strong client relationship management skills
  • Strong analytical, mathematical and quantitative skills to analysts, data services, and all facets of operational functions
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of employees
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with Target Segmentation concepts, reporting and analysis.
  • Experience across multiple analytical and reporting tools, data sets and proficiency with MS Office suite, Microsoft SQL, and like languages including formulas, expressions and charting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing function with ability to anticipate needs, make recommendations and respond to ad hoc requests quickly and appropriately.
  • Proficiency in Business Intelligence and Reporting tools
