This opportunity is with Syneos Health Consulting, an industry-leading consulting firm specializing in the biopharmaceutical industry providing services across a comprehensive range of key Practice Areas including commercial strategy and planning, medical affairs, risk and program management and pricing and market access. You’ll join a team with industry focus, depth of functional expertise, and strong scientific and market knowledge that is uniquely positioned to tackle highly complex business and market challenges to develop achievable strategies for our clients. A Consultant is a contributor on consulting projects and is primarily responsible for conducting secondary (i.e., analytically and scientifically based) research and working closely with project management in the creation of high-quality project materials and client deliverables.  Expectations include the ability to structure and complete project tasks on time, with minimal direction, and to communicate proactively and effectively with team members and project management.



  • Builds positive working relationships with clients, consulting staff, managers, leadership, and internal support teams.
  • Achieves billable utilization targets in service to client engagements.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to build skills, experiences, and relationships by contributing to project engagements, internal initiatives, and business development opportunities.


  • Conducting analogue research to inform pricing and market access strategy
  • Conducting and compiling complex secondary research and summarising findings in a clear and compelling manner
  • Supporting the planning and implementation of payer/stakeholder interviews, translating payer insights into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Interpreting research requirements and continually developing mastery of information sources to identify, retrieve, filter and synthesise information
  • Preparing high-quality PowerPoint reports, manuscripts, posters and presentations
  • Working collaboratively with the team and with clients to deliver superior quality deliverables that answer key strategic questions
  • Conducting and synthesising systematic and targeted literature reviews for HTA landscape reports
  • Managing projects or project components independently, including guidance and delegation of tasks to more junior members of the team responsible for editing, quality assurance, and formatting
  • Frequent interaction with clients to understand their expectations and to receive their feedback
  • Business development for small- to moderate-scale projects
  • Dealing with client projects and deadlines and working effectively to create solutions for the client.

Job Requirements

Along with demonstrated initiative, uncompromised integrity and a results-oriented mindset, the ideal candidate has:

  • A background in medicine, pharmacy, science, statistics or economics, along with a postgraduate qualification in a health-related field
  • Relevant experience in pricing and market access
  • Experience in conducting payer/stakeholder interviews and summarising the information into slides/reports
  • Ability to interpret and summarise HTA reports / pricing and reimbursement decisions across geographies
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically and creatively on engagements
  • Understanding of consulting and biopharmaceutical industries required
  • Demonstrated attention to detail required
  • Strong presentation skills required
  • Effective and professional communication skills (verbal, interpersonal, and written) required
  • Exceptional collaboration skills and the ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel required
  • Ability to travel preferred
