Overview

This role is a critical role within our business with a focus on Search (organic and paid) and Social Media. The ideal candidate will have the ability to drive strategic recommendations is Search and Social Media, as well as experience with campaign setup, campaign management and an extensive understanding of search and social platforms to integrate across channels. This role helps connect strategy and execution in partnership with CX Strategy, Brand Strategy, Behavioral Scientists, and Creative Leads.  The role functionally sits within the CX Strategy team of GSW, providing crucial insights to strategic development upstream and leadership over final mile execution downstream. The role aligns to and is an extension of the search and social center of excellence that sits within broader Syneos Communications.

Responsibilities

For dedicated clients and for new business efforts, you will:

  • Lead strategic direction and recommendations in building search and social media efforts including development of paid search strategies, campaign development, implementation, execution, keyword development, analysis and optimization.
  • Lead / facilitate the strategic development and execution of all paid media channels: search, display, social and affiliate disciplines to enable holistic cross-channel strategies and activation plans.
  • Provide strategic direction for paid social programs across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and LinkedIn, as well as influencer engagement and native advertising opportunities in alignment and collaboration with strategic leads across CX and client management.
  • Lead client programs and manage teams in creating social media strategies that will build brands and online communities, including social audits, social listening, analysis and recommendations related to enhancing the company’s social and digital capabilities by staying current on trends and best practices.
  • Implement social media campaigns across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc., ensuring client objectives are being met through appropriate campaign, ad and content objectives.
  • Understand and adopt new techniques and technologies that are relevant to connecting experiences across search and social media in relation to campaign and content efforts.
  • Aid CX, strategy and new business teams in building pitch decks and strategies for RFP/RFI responses.
  • Partner with Performance Media and Analytics team to help aggregate reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to generate insights, calculating basic KPIs, etc.
  • Specific tasks may include: content audits, SEO insights, social audits, taxonomy and metadata recommendations, content models, workflow recommendations, social editorial calendar development, social analytics and insights for content development.
  • Handle ad operations including flighting of search and, social ads, etc.

Job Requirements

As an experienced strategist, our ideal candidate will have:

  • 8+ years of search / social media experience as a search, paid search, social media strategist / campaign manager, digital strategist (digital pharma, healthcare or agency) across HCP and Patient (DTC) efforts.
  • Experience with paid search and social media research/planning tools (e.g. Google Search Console, Google Ads, SearchAds360, Keyword Planner, SEMRush, Meltwater, Hootsuite, etc.)
  • Background in digital, strategy, social community management, agency preferred
  • Experience with cross functional agency and global client teams, as well as regional/local campaign roll-outs
  • High level of interpersonal skills to communicate with team members
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of MS Office and Google suite of technologies
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and is very detail-oriented
  • Strong organization and written/oral communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
