The Public Policy Medical Science Liaison will support the work of our client through analysis of public policy trends, support for specific policy initiatives that impact the client as well as anticipating issues that could impact the company’s portfolio. Additionally, the PP MSL will establish, cultivate, and maintain scientific relationships with KOLS while developing a strong understanding of clinical practice and Federal and State Policy related to Vaccines.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll confer with internal stakeholders and build new collaborative relationships with medical and scientific leaders. You’ll contribute cutting-edge clinical and scientific data to help move healthcare forward and positively impact patients. You will:
  • Develop an understanding of national and regional thought-leaders and the complex healthcare environments in which they work through. Conduct professional engagement with clinical and scientific leaders, policy/public health officials and decision makers that are centered on science and credible exchange of unbiased scientific information
  • Deliver scientific presentations to Federal and State public policy influencers and decision makers to stimulate clinical dialogue related to the client’s products
  • Identify, collect and internally provide insight into medical and scientific field intelligence related to public policy positioning
  • Establish, cultivate, and maintain scientific relationships with stakeholders while developing a strong understanding of clinical practice as it relates to areas of interest for the client
  • Identify the medical information needs and research interests of stakeholders

Job Requirements

Along with your ability to remain at the forefront of your field, you must possess:

  • PhD, PharmD, MD or related degree required
  • 5+ years’ experience as an MSL, experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience with launch preparedness and execution required
  • Deliver clinical presentations to varied audiences with effect
  • Vaccine and Public Policy experience is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of CDC policy and operations
  • Excellent Communication and Scientific affiliation
  • 75% Travel required
