Responsibilities

The Field Nurse Manager is primarily responsible for leading, directing and managing all activities associated with the clinical education, training and field activities for the Flex Oncology Clinical specialists. The Field Manager will work closely with the National Program Director and the operations team to manage the flex nurses effectively to meet the contract deliverables. Additionally, the Field Manager is responsible for contributing to the coaching and development of nurses to assure that all contractual metrics are met. The Field Manager will participate and contribute in meetings with the client and the National Program Director. The Field Manager serves as the vehicle between the field and the National Program Director and Operations to implement positive solutions.

Duties may include, but are not limited to, any of the following:

  • Achieve all contract performance goals and objectives as established in the client agreement.
  • Manage and approve field expenses.
  • Ensure that administrative activities are thorough, accurate and timely.
  • Participate, as requested, in client meetings.
  • Provide communication to insure that members of the field and leadership teams are focused on delivering the expectations of the customer. Reinforce customer-focused values.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with all direct reports. (Virtual)
  • Perform field rides for coaching and development if needed. reports summarizing all activity
  • Participate, as requested, in internal meetings to update progress and suggest positive solutions to specific issues and/or opportunities.
  • Oversee recruiting, staffing, hiring, and training of field flex nurse specialists. Minimize turnover through selection process.
  • Provide performance feedback to all direct reports. Conduct ongoing discussions and documentation. Prepare annual performance appraisal.
  • Participate in company programs, which focus on individual development.

Job Requirements

Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance and an engaging manner, the ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Clinical/Nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 plus years clinical experience in Oncology
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical experience
  • Minimum of 2 years in management
  • Operations experience, preferred
