Responsibilities

The District Manager will report to Syneos/Client National Sales Director and will be directly responsible for:

  • Hiring, training and developing, and coaching the sales teams in their district in order to successfully promote Client Product to targeted physicians.
  • Will be responsible for motivating, managing and developing the skill sets and overall performance of the sales representatives in their district.
  • Effectively identifying and monitoring multiple local market conditions and building and supporting strong customer relationships while driving product promotion solutions and executing marketing strategies.
  • Monitoring field activities to ensure all are within compliance guidelines and provide timely feedback on marketing tactics and market conditions while collaborating closely with leadership, commercial operations, marketing and medical affairs.

Job Requirements

Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance and an encouraging manner, the ideal candidate has:

  • Hematology/Oncology experience is required
  • A minimum of 3 years previous sales leadership managing a team is highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree required and MBA or other related graduate-level degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of previous sales experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industry
  • Previous pharmaceutical/biotech/or related product marketing or similar experience is preferred
  • Previous account management or other Managed Care experience or in support functions is a plus, e.g., Sales Operations, Sales Training, etc.
  • Previous experience in completing and implementing attainable sales plans
