Overview

The primary purpose of the Account Executive is to assist in all client projects & campaign processes to deliver excellent service within timescales and budget. This may include, but is not limited to: creating timing plans; managing budgets and managing internal sign off.

The Account Executive will be proactive in their approach to the role, ensuring that they are actively contributing to the account whilst carefully prioritising, delegating and managing their time.

Responsibilities

Client Services Management

  • Continuously provide updated information regarding the status of work, always managing the team’s expectations 
  • Ensure the team is kept up to date with any developments on the client’s business including any relevant competitor information / media articles
  • Begin to build thorough knowledge of tactical and administrative processes
  • Learn clients’ internal regulatory review processes and systems
  • Show an understanding of the execution of marketing and communications plans
  • Begin to build understanding of budget development and management

Product/Task Leadership & Accountability

  • Establish a reputation for effective and reliable delivery of high-quality projects and written materials
  • Build thorough knowledge of expectations processes and timelines involved in effective, high-quality project management
  • Keep track of deadlines
  • Deliver consistent quality, with proactive, effective and efficient results that meet or
  • Exceed client expectations

Business Management

  • Build thorough knowledge of the agency’s business operations, shared services, and other divisions
  • Show some understanding of the budgeting and invoicing processes
  • Develop knowledge of public relations
  • Begin to develop understanding of the overall healthcare industry
  • Understanding how/when to identify and flag work, project or client issues

Team Orientation/Collaboration

  • Provide team support as required, working with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Exhibit enthusiasm and a willingness to learn internal disciplines
  • Share information and ideas with others to enable them to accomplish team goals
  • Continue to be a proactive team player

Job Requirements

  • Degree educated with experience working in healthcare communications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to flex style according to the needs of clients and teams
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
  • Up-to-date knowledge and capability in all main software packages, including Microsoft Office
