Responsibilities

This opportunity is with our Selling Solutions Commercial Division, which partners with top tier pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology companies to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies that deliver. The Dexcel District Manager's (DM) responsiblity in this position will be management of a designated region with the goal of maximizing customer engagement. This role is responsible for leading, directing and managing activities of Sales Representatives within a specific geographical area and coaching the team to enhance Selling Skills. The DM is responsible for leading his/her team to the achievement of established business objectives. They will participate in national, regional, and local strategic meetings, as well as, lead meetings with their respective team. The DM will:

  • Lead, manage and develop the skill sets and overall performance of the sales representatives in his/her district.

  • Hire, train, develop and coach new and existing sales representatives.

  • Oversee the recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training and staffing of the sales team.

  • Achieve organizational objectives through effective leadership of sales team.

  • Effectively lead and implement the Client approved marketing plan with district team.

  • Effectively identify/monitor multiple local market conditions and build strong customer relationships.

  • Monitor all field activities to make certain all are within compliance guidelines.

  • Provide feedback on marketing tactics and market conditions.

  • Ensure that representatives understand marketing strategies and thoroughly communicate balanced product information

  • Ensure appropriate delivery of marketing and sales tactics in district.

  • Ensure contracted services, information flow and all other deliverables are completed on time.

  • Oversee district and territory level budget, expenses and adherence of Representatives to their budgets through CSO partner

  • Deliver Sales Performance presentations to Commercial leadership, Sales management, and other internal groups, as requested

  • Collaborate with Analysis & Reporting to utilize reports and tools to monitor attainment of goals established in the client agreement.

  • Provide frequent and ongoing performance feedback to all direct reports and foster a team oriented and supportive working environment.

  • Establish performance expectations and oversee activity of direct reports, including adherence to policies.

  • Conduct regularly scheduled field coaching trips with field representatives and ensure adherence to policies, procedures and federal/state regulations.

  • Oversee performance management process for all team members and ensure fair, timely resolution of disciplinary issues.

  • Foster an environment that rewards accomplishment and encourages the advancement and retention of productive employees.

  • Review and approve T&E and HCP expenses to ensure adherence to company polices, business rules and compliance to Federal/State reporting requirements.

Job Requirements

Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance and an engaging manner, the ideal candidate has:

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 7+ years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience

  • 2 years Minimum as 1st level sales leader

  • 3 years in Oral Care/Dental Field is preferred

  • Documented track record building and managing successful teams

  • Experience with marketing and training strongly preferred

  • Experience with Periochip or Arestin or related implants, bone graft products, etc., is a plus

  • Ability to travel 50-60%
