Overview

Syneos Health PR Group is looking for a full time Digital and Social Media Strategist for the Digital & Social Strategy team with 4-6 years of experience to join their team. This position is based in Santa Monica, CA. This individual should have a passion for social media and an interest and experience in healthcare. As a member of the Digital & Social Strategy team, you will:

  • Collaborate with agency account teams and shared services (e.g., Creative, Digital Analytics) to conceptualize and execute digital and social media programs for several healthcare clients
  • Think creatively and present strategic and tactical ideas to clients
  • Manage online communities for clients and create monthly editorial calendars for multiple social channels (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest)
  • Flex between “big picture” strategy and ensuring all tactics are executed flawlessly
  • Possess a deep curiosity about the latest trends in social media, digital marketing and healthcare
  • Possible manage others on the Digital & Social Strategy team

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow relationships among clients and internal teams
  • Manage digital and social presence for clients to ensure a consistent and compelling brand voice and implement engagement strategies
  • Develop strategies and content for multiple platforms, including social media channels, websites and paid search ads
  • Create paid media strategies for both paid social media and paid digital media -- and manage execution and optimization of promoted content
  • Review analytics, optimize content accordingly and compile metrics reports
  • Develop and manage budgets and timelines, ensuring projects stay within scope and on schedule
  • Review and monitor competitive brands in similar communities
  • Incorporate latest trends in social media and digital marketing into strategic counsel and planning for teams and clients
  • Work within the Digital & Social Strategy practice to further develop capabilities and efficiencies
  • Participate in team brainstorms to discuss how social media insights translate into actionable client recommendations
  • Identify organic growth opportunities and coordinate with teams to bring them to fruition

Job Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience in a combination of digital and social media role
  • Detailed knowledge of most prominent social media platforms, including best practices and paid tools
  • Experience managing social media communities, including content calendar and asset development, and development and implementation of paid media targeting strategies  
  • Budget management and financial reconciliation experience a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure in a fast-paced (but fun) environment
  • Must have strong written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the healthcare regulatory landscape
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, social media tools (e.g., Facebook Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, LinkedIn analytics, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Twitter Ads, SproutSocial, Hootsuite)
