Syneos Health’s Reputation & Risk Management team is looking for an exceptional senior professional to join our rapidly growing communications practice. If you’re looking for a traditional PR position, stop reading now. But if you’re looking for a dynamic role in an ever-changing environment where learning and challenging yourself are encouraged—and expected—this job may be for you.
Who we are: We are a young and growing practice with diverse experience across health policy, legal communications, crisis management and consulting. Our clients are leading life-sciences companies that seek our communications counsel to help navigate through their most complex business challenges. We live and breathe healthcare—tracking trends, analyzing policies, and translating science. We take the approach that preparation prevents communications issues from becoming business problems: 80% of our client work focuses on proactive risk mitigation strategies, while 20% is rapid response.
We think our practice is the best of both worlds: a nimble “start-up” culture with immense opportunities to grow professionally and to inform into our evolving service portfolio while having regular access to Syneos Health’s global network and resources.
Who you are: We’re looking for a self-described healthcare “nerd”—someone who wants to think about complex national (and global) healthcare issues and advise clients on communications implications. To succeed in this role, you need a knack for solving problems quickly and an ability to be poised under pressure. Candidates we consider must have a proven track-record of resourcefulness and hands on experience gathering available information to formulate persuasive recommendations and action plans. Excellent writing, verbal presentation and power point skills are required. The position is half communications and half consulting. It favors:
What you’ll do: We’re an “all hands on deck” kind of team and expect everyone’s help in solving problems, create strategic plans, drafting points of view, and providing strategic counsel. The person in this role will:
What you need: Our ideal candidate will be able to work independently under tight deadlines with limited direction. Other key skills include:
Fluency in health policy and pharmaceutical commercialization preferred.
What you’ll get: You’ll be joining a close-knit team with a wide range of experience who want to help you—and each other—grow and succeed.
