Responsibilities

Program Overview:

We welcome graduating seniors to apply for our Greatness Training Program in our New York office. This program allows recent college graduates the opportunity to hold a regular full-time position within GSW. In addition to daily on-the job training, these employees also participate in an extensive in-house training program throughout the first nine months of employment. We find that this unique combination empowers our new joiners and gives them a foundation to build their skill sets further and involve them more in our way of life!

Weekly trainings are run by internal and external trainers, exposing Greatness Trainees directly to our business leaders and shapers. Courses include topics such as Advertising 101, business etiquette, writing skills, pitching training, research, social media, and more.

Job Requirements

Job Description:

As a Junior Strategic Planner in the GT Program, you will be tasked with the application of planning and research processes that identify unmet market needs through the illumination of customer emotions and market insights.

In partnership with other strategists the Junior Strategic Planner is able to work and balance both sides of the agency/client relationship by translating insights into a strategic point of view that can ground a team, lead to great strategic creative, adhere to measurable brand objectives and ultimately, elate clients.

  • Conducts and analyzes new and existing brand research and relevant data to gain insight into specific customer mindsets
  • Assists in planning and facilitating brand positioning and creative strategy workshops, discussions, and brainstorms
  • Assists in appropriate research, planning, and development of patient journeys 
  • Aids in the development and composition of brand strategies
  • Assists in writing creative briefs and project briefs (when appropriate) to provide concise information on objective, customer, and strategy to creative teams
  • Collaborates with internal brand teams to integrate strategies into overall experience/brand plans and ensure strategic alignment across tactical initiatives
  • Contributes to strategic recommendations related to experience planning such as channel strategy and tactical planning
  • Stays current with industry news and competitive environment to continually expand knowledge

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree required- preferably in behavioral sciences, business marketing and/or advertising.
    • Accountable, self-starter with a curious nature and willingness to learn and stretch their knowledge
    • Communicates clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles
    • Ability to conceptualize and think strategically
    • Strong time management skills and ability to manage deliverables across brands
    • Passionate and focused on building strategic solutions for brands  

Recruitment Process:

  • Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.
  • First round phone interview to take place from February through March 2019
  • Second round interviews to take place at the NY office in April 2019
