Overview

Syneos PR Group is looking for a full time Digital and Social Media Specialist with 3-5 years of experience to join their team. This position is based in New York, NY. This individual should have a passion for social media and an interest in community management. As a member of the Digital & Social Strategy team, you will:

  • Collaborate with account teams to conceptualize and execute digital and social media programs for several healthcare clients
  • Manage online communities for clients and create monthly editorial calendars for multiple social channels (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram)
  • Be a resourceful, energetic individual who is a creative problem solver
  • Work independently to complete discrete pieces of larger projects and deliver client-ready work to account teams
  • Review analytics and compile monthly metrics reports
  • Possess a deep curiosity about the latest trends in social media and digital marketing

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage social and online presence for clients to ensure a consistent and compelling brand voice and implement engagement strategies
  • Develop content for online editorial calendars
  • Develop paid social media strategies and execute across all relevant channels
  • Review and monitor competitive brands in similar communities
  • Leverage trends in pop culture and provide proactive recommendations to team and clients
  • Prepare engagement and measurement reports for clients
  • Work within the Digital & Social Strategy Practice to further develop capabilities and efficiencies
  • Participate in team brainstorms to discuss how social media insights translate into actionable client recommendations

Job Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-4 years of experience in a digital or social media role
  • Some experience managing communities on social media
  • Must have direct experience developing content calendars and assets, with knowledge of individual social channel requirements
  • Experience implementing and managing paid social media campaigns a plus
  • Ability to think creatively and present new content ideas
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure in a fast-paced (but fun) environment
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Must be high energy, enthusiastic and have an interest in healthcare
  • Knowledge of the healthcare regulatory landscape preferred but not required
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, social monitoring tools (e.g., Facebook analytics, LinkedIn analytics, SproutSocial, Hootsuite) and social listening tools (e.g., Radian6, Sysomos or Visible Intelligence) a plus
