This opportunity is with Adheris Health, a Syneos Health company. In this role, you’ll join the industry leader in education and adherence programs that help patients stay on prescribed chronic drug therapy. Working with a national network of retail pharmacies and major pharmaceutical manufacturers, we design and administer programs designed to manage chronic disease, educate patients about their condition, and increase patient’s compliance with prescribed medication. You’ll be part of a successful organization with steady, but well-managed growth. Responsibilities

The QA Automation  Engineer is an individual with test automation development experience who can help both accelerate the delivery in an Agile environment and improve the quality of the  application by being embedded in the product delivery team and assisting with early test automation that can be run continuously. The Engineer must be capable and willing to take the TEST process from end-to-end, from functional requirements gathering to developing and executing manual and automated tests of project features, focusing on getting the right stuff tested and automated in the right way, as quickly as possible.

QA Automation engineer is responsible for designing and implementing test infrastructure, creating and enforcing good engineering practices, and evaluating product quality for Adheris Health products. The primary responsibility is to ensure that testing of new functionality is tested and automated as quickly as possible and that the end-to-end automated regression test suite is run continuously, and is as up-to-date and thorough.

This position requires 1-3+ years of experience on applications using SQL, Windows and/or Linux. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. This position also represents the TEST role within the product team.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product owners, business analysts, managers and your product team to understand the product requirements and use cases in order to deliver high quality software on schedule for production releases.
  • Fully own your role as a Automation engineer. We highly value strong TEST role ownership therefore you are not only an advocate for TEST within the product team, but you also are required to evangelize the best practices that have made TEST successful.
  • Analyze and decompose a complicated software system and design a strategy to test this system.
  • We release to production every three weeks, so regression is never far away, your ability to quickly automate your sprint work in a logical manner is key.
  • Build automated test suites to exercise our applications.
  • Conduct research on emerging technologies and help implement.
  • Help define, promote, and ensure adherence to quality assurance processes such as test plan reviews, defect management, risk/complexity analysis, and regression test maintenance.
  • Interface with 3rd parties on requirements, testing, and problem troubleshooting, as needed.
  • Be responsible for following through and making sure defects are reported and escalated appropriately.

Job Requirements

Along with demonstrated initiative, uncompromised integrity and a results-oriented mindset, the ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of Java and Groovy languages for scripting
  • Knowledge of JMeter for load based testing is ideal
  • Knowledge of backend database testing (Object DB and SQL)
  • Understanding of common TEST and SW development processes and methodologies - especially with working in an Agile environment with continuous integration/continuous delivery best practices.
  • Analytical skills in assessing user, functional, and technical requirements and documentation and identifying high risk and key test areas.
  • Problem solving and investigative skills, with the drive to get to the root of the problem.
  • Understanding of multi-tier web application architecture and deployment.
  • Experience testing database driven applications including data validation using SQL.
  • Windows experience.
  • Test automation experience is desirable (i.e. Selenium, ReadyAPI, SoapAPI or other)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Genuine enjoyment of TEST/TEST AUTOMATION work.
