The Regional Sales Manager’s (RSM) responsibility will be the development and management of a designated region and the personnel within the region with a goal of maximizing product promotion through customer engagement. This role is responsible for leading, directing and managing activities of designated Hospital Representatives within a specific geographical area. The RSM is responsible for leading his/her team to the achievement of established key business objectives. They will participate in national, regional, and local strategic meetings, as well as, lead meetings with their respective team.

Key Job Responsibilities: (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following)

  • To lead, manage and develop the skill sets and overall performance of the sales representatives in his or her region
  • Regional travel will be required
  • Hire, train, develop and coach new and existing Hospital Representatives
  • Develop and implement approved business plans to contribute to overall project success
  • Achieve organizational objectives through effective leadership of sales team
  • Effectively lead and implement the approved marketing plan with the team
  • Effectively identify/monitor multiple local market conditions and build strong customer relationships
  • Personally influence and interact with the opinion leaders within the region.
  • Monitor all field activities to make certain all are within compliance guidelines
  • Provide feedback on marketing tactics and market conditions to senior leaders

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum
  • 10+ years of Sales experience
  • 5+ years of Hospital Sales management experience
  • Recent Hospital launch experience
  • Must exhibit strong experience developing, implementing, executing, and measuring success with account plans
  • Ability to travel extensively due to large regional responsibility
  • Effective interpersonal, organizational, communication skills and the ability to advance and influence the acceptance of ideas required
  • Track record of high sales performance as a leader including strong performance in key management core competencies
  • Track record of strict adherence to all approved promotional tactics
  • Current driver’s license and clean driving record
