As a Graphic Design Production Artist, you assist teams in the production of graphic material, packaging, display, and advertising projects, and more. You collaborate with Art directors, designers, and graphic designers to format artwork, ensure print quality standards are met, and will often collect, process, and organize files.

You are self-motivated — you have a true passion coupled with the exceptional ability to translate the vision of our clients into high quality and impactful deliverables. You would also be responsible for troubleshooting problems that may arise with a piece and coming up with creative solutions to make sure things happen the way they’re supposed to. Responsibilities:

Mid-Level Graphic Designer: Core contributor to projects, owns bigger pieces and proficient at adhering to brand standards. They work with all the information at their disposal and use their skill set and knowledge to solve problems.

The position reports to the Discipline Lead for day-to-day project assignments but also collaborates with the Agency’s creative and creative services team members for implementation and direction. Responsibilities will range from laying out files, making prescribed edits to layouts as requested, to prepping print files according to vendor specification to.

• Work closely with Agency account, creative and creative services departments as part of an integrated team.
• Adhere to agency vision for quality and uphold the creative process while maintaining client style guidelines.
• Traditional graphic art and studio support, such as, building mock-ups and presentation materials.
• Able to deliver a quality product on time and on budget (allocated hours).
• Responsible for building production-ready files for print and digital tactics, making edits to existing layouts with some opportunities for initial design.
• Prepare electronic mechanical print files according to vendor specifications and adhering to the brand style guides set by the clients.
• Work with project managers on schedule and hours requirements.
• Maintain server structure and organization and oversee creative department personnel for file creation efficiencies and server organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned, such as on-boarding of file organization and studio process for new employees.
• Control tactical workflow within the brand, is the “go-to” person for agency creatives and is the keeper of brand assets and logos.
• Self-motivated: Able to deliver a quality product on time and on budget (allocated hours).
• Champion BoldSky workflow and strive to improve processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field, creative studio and/or agency experience
• 5-10 years’ experience in Graphic Design
• In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat) as well as comprehensive knowledge of Macintosh computers
• Extensive Prepress Knowledge — including production specifications and terminology, common production file formats, image resolution, and special printing techniques, solid knowledge of four-color printing process, and prepress requirements.

Candidate must have:

• Good communication skills to address needs with project managers and creative leadership and to provide direction to junior staff.
• Good design skills and understand page layout: composition, hierarchy, color space, imagery, and typography
• Good organizational skills

Additional Qualifications:

• Management experience a plus
• Experience with Sketch and/or Figma a plus
• Experience with PPT, animation, digital and/or video applications a plus
• Experience working in Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems a plus
