Description

We are currently looking for a field-based Pharmacy Customer Engagement Specialist who will be responsible for our Vaccines portfolio in the territory of Zurich. They will report to the Sales Manager, Vaccines, and directly contribute to achieving the ambitious goals we have for our client´s business through a close relationship and partnership with our client´s most important pharmacy customers and pharmacy stakeholders.

Responsibilities: 

  • Establish and build relationships with pharmacy accounts, ensuring our client is recognized as a reliable and trusted partner.
  • Become an expert in pharmacists and their teams, understanding their needs and priorities and able to tailor solutions to those needs.
  • Co-create vaccination services with Pharmacies. Train, coach and support pharmacy teams in delivering vaccination services for independent and chain pharmacies.
  • Develop training opportunities that bring value to pharmacies and address gaps and barriers to vaccination. Represent our client´s Vaccines business with focus on HPV and Pneumococcal vaccines, organize product trainings to support key launches, co-create localized campaigns to drive patient awareness and collaborate to build capacity within pharmacy for successful vaccination programs.
  • Accountable for territory sales performance and customer interaction through optimized channel use, managing a broad pool of diverse customers through face-to-face visits, events, and omnichannel remote engagements.
  • Evolve clinical and public health practice with a diverse range of customers, including other HCPs as required to support vaccines business needs.
  • Develop an annual vaccination plan to high potential pharmacy accounts and align with national and local campaigns.

 

Requirements:

While the ideal candidate will have existing relationships and prior experience in working with pharmacies we do not require prior pharmaceutical sales experience for a candidate to be considered or to be successful in this role.

The successful candidate must have the following: 

Sales abilities:

  • Sales mindset, results-oriented, and proven ability to hit ambitious targets consistently.
  • Comfort with multi-tasking, intellectual flexibility and high resiliency to challenges.
  • Independent, self-motivated and highly organized.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in communication, persuasion, and building customer relationships.

Technical abilities:

  • Comfort with learning, interpreting and retaining scientific and medical information.
  • Highly proficient in distilling complex topics into relevant insights and messages for medical professionals.
  • Good working knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system, and regulatory context for pharmaceuticals.

Language abilities: fluent German

Additionally, the successful candidate will have some or all of the following attributes: 

Educational Qualifications:

  • Apotheker/in oder Pharmazeut/in or Life Science Degree in a relevant field
  • Country relevant medical sales accreditation (SHQA)

Technical and Commercial Skills:

  • Experience in and a proven, successful track record of selling medical products or services to Pharmacists, General Practitioners, Pediatricians, Gynecologists etc.
  • Existing relevant customer relationships with pharmacies in Zurich
  • Successful experience in account management with complex buying processes and multiple decision-makers

Professional Competencies:

  • Data-driven decision-making and mindset
  • Experience with impactful use of digital customer engagement channels
  • Comfort with commercial experimentation and customer project implementation
  • Adaptable to change, ambiguity, and with a strong learning mindset

Languages Abilities:

  • Fluent in German
  • Fluent in English and French to facilitate collaboration within the team and with the Head Office is beneficial.
