You express all your ideas effortlessly and have the skills to distill other people's ideas into their best possible form. Your messaging is not only clear and concise, but your medical expertise allows you to convey high-level scientific knowledge in meaningful and comprehensible communications. You will be responsible for the oversight of content development and strategy across multiple clients and disease areas. You will:

  • Develop scientific educational content including slide decks, advisory boards, scientific platforms, and publications (posters, manuscripts)
  • Conduct and communicate background research/information as needed
  • Work with clients and other team members to develop content flow in alignment with client’s strategic needs and objectives
  • Develop high quality, accurate content with impactful visualization as needed
  • Annotate content to source references
  • Prepare materials for legal and regulatory review with clients
  • Triage stakeholders or authors feedback and updating content accordingly
  • Collaborate with account counterparts to track deadlines
  • Quickly develop expertise in multiple disease areas 
    • Experience in kidney disease and/or immunology is a plus but not required
  • Remaining current on the latest clinical trial data and treatment trends
  • Prioritize/organize workload and manage multiple workstreams
  • Conduct background and literature research to support new business efforts
  • Mentor and assist in training junior level team members
  • Build client relationships, through strategic partnership and understanding client goals
  • Participate independently in client-facing meetings 
  • Travel (e.g. advisory board, conferences, new business pitches) or on-site client visits maybe be required around 10-15% of time 

Essential Requirements:

  • Education: PhD, MD, PharmD
  • 2-3 years of pharma or medical communication agency experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with account teams, other writers, editors, creative teams, physicians and clients
  • Analyze and synthesize complex information from multiple sources
  • Communicate medical/technical information to a wide variety of audiences
  • Work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team-oriented environment
  • Efficiently prioritize multiple tasks and provide effective direction to others; can quickly evaluate the resources necessary to accomplish a goal and put those into action
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience

Desired Requirements:

  • EndNote reference management database experience
  • Prism GraphPad

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
