Description
The Director supports the Europe Communications Growth Group to optimise and sustain growth of the Region Europe Communications organisation - partnering with operating company leadership to help convert new and organic business opportunities. By working closely with different teams, the Director helps create partnerships that benefit everyone involved. They also oversee performance and reporting, to integrate new methods and technologies to improve quality and efficiency. 

Role Competencies

Partnership and business growth:

  • Offers business conversion and growth support to all Region Europe Communications offices and affiliates
  • Partners with leadership across individual and integrated communications disciplines (Advertising, Public Relations, Medical Communications) to drive and optimize new and organic business as well as client development opportunities.
  • Manages timely assessment and triage of new opportunities through a strategic approach to RFP assessment, considering available resources, relationships and knowledge as key markers of success
  • Oversees delivery of significant opportunity proposals
  • Joins Account Development Planning (ADP) review calls across communications and proactively connects and inspires ideas
  • Fosters relationships across the Syneos Health network for proposal support and efficiency in growth operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create mutually beneficial partnerships that extend beyond short-term transactions.  

Proposal evaluation and innovation:

  • Leverages a standard process from RFP assessment to pitch, ensuring consistent proposal quality and efficient onboarding
  • Ensures access to best-in-class tools and information for proposal development, including a master ideas bank and comprehensive overviews of medical and marketing topics
  • Uses broader Syneos Health's resources to provide clients with unique and valuable solutions
  • Champions accurate and streamlined sf.com reporting, supports in delivery of performance updates to the Region Europe Communications organisation
  • Oversees the growth performance and reporting, fluent in mitigating risk and proactively solving issues early
  • Early adopter of digital technologies, leveraging them to drive innovation, efficiency and to build bespoke recommendations for clients.

  • Has demonstrated success in a communications agency with strong leadership and business development skills
  • Is able to bring together and facilitate strong cross-functional teams
  • Proactive with strategic thinking, generating impactful ideas
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with a proven ability to write new business proposals to a high quality
  • Self-starter with strong time management skills and a high degree of autonomy
  • Uses experience to provide guidance to team members within the Communications Growth Group to drive effective day-to-day delivery and prioritisation of resources
  • Supports line-reports to fulfil personal ambitions through ongoing line and performance management
  • An ambassador for the Growth Group, spearheading growth, inspiring and supporting teams.
