Description

The National Market Access Program Director will be accountable for ensuring the successful launch of the customer’s product. They will directly collaborate with leadership for solutions across all core functions and is the point-person for ensuring optimal delivery of services to support commercialization plans. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Provide strategic and tactical guidance and oversight of the allocated team of KAMs & NAMs in close collaboration with the customer’s functional leads, including the Market Access, Patient Support, Commercial Operations and Marketing Leads. 
  • Develop insights for optimal customer targeting such as defining geographic targets, payer books-of-business, required marketing materials, push & pull-through processes for both in-patient and out-patient business and requirements for optimal patient support.
  • Oversee the hiring, training, deployment and alignment to the needs of the product market, while also developing recommendations for future resourcing models based on market insights and program objectives.
  • Build detailed account target plans including the reach & frequency model that will drive customer engagement across payers and target CoEs and regional hospitals on institutional and stakeholder level for the KAM and NAM team
  • Continue to develop and strengthen the go-to-market plan with the customer and with other Functional Leads. Continuously seek, drive and share insights across the team for optimal integrated launch plans

 Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of market access experience with at least 5 years of 2nd line or national management experience with demonstrated success in product launches and building high-performance teams
  • Demonstrated success working in a small to mid-size biotech company, reflecting an entrepreneurial culture and innovative mindset.
  • Experience with specialty pharmaceuticals including rare disease
  • Thorough understanding of Market Access, payer coverage requirements and patient support programs in the rare disease space
  • Thorough understanding of the hospital and academic centers, including the various stakeholders and the formulary review process.
