Responsibilities

The Research Science Liaison (RSL) Director will play a pivotal role in the channeling and execution of scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on accelerated patient identification, enrollment and timely completion of the clinical trials.

 

  • Lead, manage, develop and coach a team of Research Science Liaison’s globally focusing in patient identification, enrollment and retention in clinical trials 
  • Developing and implementing trial site feasibility support and potential referral sites specific strategies if required.  Ensures you and RSLs have local and regional territory engagement plans with recruitment strategies defined 
  • Ensuring compliant practices and interactions with PIs, site staff and patient-referring Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) & sites in alignment with SOPs, regulatory requirements, and applicable laws
  • Working closely with our customer’s clinical and CRO colleagues to ensure effective and compliant alignment and communications plans with clinical teams
  • Defines and ensures appropriate achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs). Ensures reporting of field activities and timely communication.  
  • Supports the study teams in the implementation and conduct of clinical study steering committees and other program/study-related meetings
 

Requirements

Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance, and an engaging manner, the ideal candidate has:

 

  • PharmD, PhD or MD with relevant clinical trial site experience 
  • Experience as an CTL/CRA or senior medical affairs and/or clinical development role
  • Experience in field-based management experience leading CRAs or MSLs, in medical affairs  
  • Experience in an inflammatory disease state(s) required, with SLE experience preferred 
  • Proven ability to interact at a very high level with Key Opinion Leaders and all HCPs
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example while recruiting, developing and retaining top Field Medical talent
  • Experience in clinical research, patient recruitment, and investigator-sponsored trials
