Responsibilities:

The National Program Director (NPD) will have direct responsibilities for the development of strategic and tactical plans and directing the execution of those plans to meet and exceed performance goals. The NPD will provide leadership, strategic and operational management along with financial leadership aligned with business objectives to succeed, cultivate, and grow the client relationship long-term. This individual will work with field-based Market Access  to drive the commercial strategy and overall performance of the assigned brand. The assigned responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Lead their team in deriving, validating, and leveraging customer and account insights on a regular basis. Work with team to develop solutions that best address those needs while facilitating involvement of the necessary business personnel inclusive of support, service, and resource management in order to meet key account performance objectives
• Responsible for gaining and applying a deep understating of relevant markets, business models, strategic priorities, future direction, financial drivers and leadership profiles of key customers within Leading Centers Departments and IDNs. This includes understanding and engaging in key local and national, health care issues/strategies, customer issues/trends, pathway and quality trends and best practices to establish credibility beyond product and therapeutic areas.
• Take an active leadership role with team to ensure the development and pull through of Strategic Account plans.
• Hire, develop, train, coach, assess, motivate and retain talent to meet the evolving needs of customers and drive business results
• Provides leadership and ongoing coaching to elevate capabilities and effectiveness of team through continuous feedback. Creates a climate of trust, allowing open communication and decisive decision-making. 
• Collaborate at a high level and partners closely with First Line Leaders and internal stakeholders to deliver on project goals and expectations.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical sales experience with at least 5 years of 1st line or national   pharmaceutical sales management experience with demonstrated success in product launches and building high-performance sales teams 
• Demonstrated success working in a small to mid-size biotech company, reflecting an entrepreneurial culture and innovative mindset. 
• Must have Experience working with device, buy and bill, and pharmacy benefit
• Demonstrated track record of success, leading teams, and developing talent.  
• Strong organizational skills to maintain a high level of productivity and priority-setting in order to deliver on organizational goals 
• Proven ability to think strategically and work with a high level of integrity
