JOB SUMMARY

Oversee daily operations of the Business Optimization team that is supporting the Business Development & Accountment Management process by ensuring Proposals and Contracts that are being presented to Clients are designed to be the most impactful for the Client, as well as efficient from a Operations perspective.

This role will be responsible for working across groups to ensure complete & accurate proposal development, pricing model, contract development, in support of the BD and Contracting opportunities. 

Implement new procedures and tools to improve efficiency and streamline operations and help with building repositories that will make it easy for Business Development to access historical project information and case studies. . 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with Business Development and DS Operations to ensure the solution we are providing our clients are efficient and drives the outcomes expected from the program. 

In partnership with BD for RFI/RFP responses, help drive proposal and presentation development, gathering pricing assumptions, ensure documentation of the contract is complete & accurate in comparison to what was proposed.  

Partner with Business Development & Account Management Teams to reviews existing solutions to assess and determine if the current programs are meeting internal & external expectations for Project Performance, Finance Performance. Identify potential for other Syneos solutions should be recommended.

Coordinate across internal service departments to help with the completion of Project Agreements related to New Business Opportunities & Renewals.

  • Proposals, Analytics, Legal, GDM, Pricing, Finance, Operations Leads, Project Leadership, etc.

Partner with Finance to redesign the current pricing process by looking to automate pricing activities to reduce user error and standardized the pricing summary for use in proposals and contracts. 

Create summaries for Business Development & Account Managers to better understand and assess how the project is performing against deliverables expectations, operation utilization, and financial performance.

Ability to prioritize multiple requests from internal & external stakeholders.

Work with internal teams to create & maintain databases for metrics, case studies, reporting, 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (please indicate if ‘preferred’)

Requires a B.A. /B.S. degree in business or related field, or equivalent related experience, and extensive direct experience in proposal development, pricing and contract experience.  Experience in a Commercial Services, biotech, or pharmaceutical drug development company required.  Effective negotiation skills required. Superior computer, analytical, negotiation, and organization skills required. The ability to communicate effectively, oral and written, is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and voicemail is required.    

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $180,000 to $218,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
