Responsibilities:

The Patient Navigator (PN) is a Field and Virtual based position that will provide reimbursement education to key stakeholders in multiple sites of care including physician practices, hospitals, and other sites of care as well as patients and caregivers. The PN works in a highly visible, strong team environment to provide exceptional customer service on all levels. Specifically, listen to patients, interpreting their specific needs and providing friendly, professional, and well-informed answers to their non-medical, logistical questions. The PN will work with offices and patients to educate on the next steps required to gain access to therapy. The PN will collaborate with numerous internal teams, including Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, Marketing, and Regional Business Liaisons to facilitate access to insurance, medications, financial support, resources and more.

Focusing on disease state education and training, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide education, support and training to healthcare providers and patients on specific disease states and/or product use.
  • Provide proactive education to prescribers and sites of care upon patient enrollment on coverage for therapies, common prior authorization requirements, and coding and billings requirements.
  • Educate on product coverage based on their benefits and the steps needed to gain prior authorization to ensure understanding of the process for medication access.

  • Educate the physician office and/or SOC on product coverage based on the patient’s benefits and the steps needed to gain prior authorization to ensure understanding of the process for medication access.

Along with your energy and versatility, you must possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Nursing or other clinical background preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years pharma/account management experience
  • Oncology experience required.
  • Patient interaction and support experience preferred.
  • Biologic/biotech buy and bill experience in a reimbursement role preferred.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $145-155K. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position.  Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.  In addition, some positions may include a company car or car allowance and eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance
