In this role, you will be an integral part of a sales team developing and managing an assigned territory. You will have the opportunity to be a part of the US Cattle Business Unit, one of the largest businesses within the worldwide operations. You will:

  • Call on dairy producers and veterinarians identified by the local dairy territory business manager to help position, implement, and follow up with dairy genetic opportunities. 
  • Utilize excellent presentation skills to conduct educational training.
  • Build relationships and influence within key trade channels including veterinarians, AI companies, nutritionists, and university personnel.  Look for accounts that are off on genetics samples and help with genetic audits. 
  • Manage a broad geographic area with a diverse customer base to achieve genetic sales targets and objectives. Utilize Zoom and Phone for customer contact. 
  • Build Trust with customers through developing reliability, credibility, and follow-up.
  • Territory planning & priority setting through data analysis, lab corrections, account set up, planning, utilization of resources and execution of business plans.
  • Technical & commercial knowledge – general knowledge of dairy industry, in-depth product knowledge of genetic products, and business & financial acumen of local customer base.
  • Teamwork – share, collaborate and act as a team player.
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned and directed.
  • The position requires the ability to call on producers, veterinarians, and the supporting influencers.
  • The position also requires the ability to work with internal colleagues effectively as a team – Strategic Account Managers, Dairy Productions Specialists, and Dairy Technical Service colleagues that share in account responsibilities.

Essential Requirements: 

  • Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) preferred.
  • Requires individual to be able to work on dairy farms.
  • Must live within territory or within territory boundaries.

Desired Requirements:   

  • Animal Health experience and knowledge of dairy industry is preferred. 
  • Experience with Dairy Comp, DHI Plus, Bovisync or PC Dart is plus.
