As a Key Account Manager (KAM) you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for delivering outstanding services on behalf of one of our key partners, Pharmanovia.  

Pharmanovia is a dynamic, fast-growing global pharmaceutical company with a portfolio of over 20 brands across more than 140 markets. Their mission is to improve patient health globally through the revitalisation of niche, tried-and-trusted medicines.  

About the role:  

You’ll be promoting and launching Pharmanovia’s brands, delivering sales presentations to current and prospective customers, both face to face and remotely. As a result of these exciting new opportunities and acquisitions, we are looking for experienced KAMs with an exceptional track record in sales success and new product launches. You will have the energy and drive to seek new opportunities for business growth, tenaciously removing barriers and building new relationships. 

For this specific role, experience in the oncology therapy area is required. Working within your assigned territory you’ll be engaging with HCPs and pharmacists within the specialty care and hospital setting. 

You will be well supported by an established marketing and market access team and receive product and skills training to support your daily promotional activities.  

Responsibilities  

  • Coverage of an agreed region the KAM will identify, map and develop stakeholder value-based interactions whilst ensuring alignment to national and regional launch strategy the targeting of business-critical HCPs that lead to optimal growth and access for patients to Pharmanovia medicines will be critical to success. 
  • Develop, implement, and monitor progressive key account business plans that are aligned with the national strategy 
  • Achievement of sales and activity targets and KPIs in line with company expectations and brand strategies 
  • Develop, communicate, and track key account business plans, ensuring a stakeholder map of key influencers drives targeting of business-critical HCPs that lead to optimal growth and access for patients to Pharmanovia medicines 
  • Adopt and implement marketing omni-channel promotional strategies effectively and to the right customers in order to deliver brand messages to the preferences of a wide range of HCPs.  
  • Demonstrate consistent and regularly updated product and disease area knowledge in order to enable “trusted advisor” status with target HCPs 
  • Work with data insights and sales manager to ensure that accounts and HCPs are optimally targeted through CRM to allow effective levels of coverage and frequency that will drive regular and targeted influencing of the HCPs that have biggest impact on sales and sales growth 
  • Manage CRM system regularly to ensure all customer contacts and account plan actions are kept up to date and accurate, ensuring minimum usage standards are met 
  • Demonstrate a full understanding of your country, region and account level healthcare systems and policies which impact the brands and disease areas you promote within, including local level market access processes and how to navigate them to ensure optimal outcomes for Pharmanovia brands 
  • Liaise internally at Pharmanovia and externally with procurement customers to ensure supply of products is managed as efficiently and cost effectively as possible, proactively highlighting issues and supporting processes 
  • Build and maintain effective business relationships across a wide range of Pharmanovia functions, including scientific affairs, customer services, marketing, logistics, planning, finance and senior management, ensuring appropriate internal resource is allocated to impact an excellent service level for key accounts 
  • Engage in, and be able to consistently demonstrate, the learning and development initiatives that Pharmanovia deploy with sales teams, including excellence in selling and key account management skills with demonstrable evidence of competence 
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking and ability to pinpoint key insights in data that allow effective understanding of opportunities and potential issues within accounts and local health economies. Be able to continually demonstrate a high level of understanding of key performance measures such as sub-national sales analysis and impact of KAM activity on performance 
  • Be proactive in providing key market, competitor and customer feedback that will support the development of sales and marketing strategies for relevant functions 
  • Able to read, digest and understand clinical data and research papers, with science based background that allows objective and clear conclusions to be extracted in a manner that supports knowledge of the disease area and product 

Essential Requirements  

  • Established Key Account Management experience within the Pharmaceutical Industry 
  • Life Sciences Degree (BSC) 
  • Experience working in a customer-facing pharmaceutical KAM role and a Hospital Environment 
  • Experience and familiarity in generating incremental RX (Awareness, Believe, Usage) 
  • Experienced Oncology is highly required 
  • Proof of success in gaining market access for Hospital brand 
  • Proven track record of success in establishing and maintaining relationships with KOLs  
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems / Purchase and regional market access environment 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Language: Portuguese is essential, and the second language of English is highly desirable 
  • Full clean driving license
